What Are Missions?

In short, Missions is in part an execution of the great commission (Matthew 28:19).  It is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In many cases, it is defined as the process of formally taking the Gospel and planting self-sufficient churches for the expansion of God's kingdom.

How Missions Fit into the SWBC Mission

Our commitment to missions aligns directly with the mission of our Church - "... to glorify God and expand His kingdom by equipping His people to demonstrate and declare His truth to the world."

As we continue to equip people to declare His truths, we contend it is critical that the Gospel be expanded not just across this city and state, but across the world as well.  Below are testimonies of the impact missions have had on countries across the world as well as the missionaries themselves.
